Inside the Franconian Brewery Museum

Week 40

Here we are again in Bamberg, southern Germany, and as promised we have the photos of the Franconian Brewery Museum. It is not open every day – something like Wednesday to Saturday, mainly afternoons, but do check – and has a tardis (Tardis?)-like interior. One descends through a series of levels until the end point, a surprise which I won’t spoil for you. It is packed with brewing kit, much of it totally new to me, and all sorts of breweriana. Totally worth a visit. All the more curious in that if you stayed near the station in Bamberg, you would hardly know any of the World Heritage Site even existed! Back home, still catching up on photos from my Sussex trip last week, and looking forward to a brief visit to the National Brewery Centre and its archive next week.
